Northamptonshire SMEs are invited to apply for grants of up to £20,000 to stimulate their business capabilities.
Grants available under the Innovate Northamptonshire project range from £2,000 to £20,000 to support activities that lead to the development of new products, processes or services. This could be as simple as improving efficiencies and increasing production through fine-tuning and streamlining processes, or being more ambitious and developing a prototype to introduce something brand new to the market. The funding can also be used to bring in external expertise to develop your ideas and take them forward.
Business support specialists state that product development is vital to business growth; however, although many businesses recognise this, the barriers which they face are limiting progress, with skills and funding identified as the biggest obstacles to success.
Cathy Martin, Projects and Grants Manager at Northamptonshire Growth Hub states, “This is an uncertain time for many business owners who may be nervous about changing direction or trying something new. Our Innovate Northamptonshire project aims to provide the tools and confidence to help them take that step forward in order to grow and develop. We have already approved 10 grants supporting some ambitious projects and we hope to see many more innovative concepts come forward through this latest call.”
DROP-IN SESSIONS TO FIND OUT HOW GRANTS COULD UNLOCK BUSINESS POTENTIAL
Businesses in Northamptonshire looking to develop new ideas are invited to attend countywide drop-in sessions to find out how grant funding could unlock their growth potential.
Northamptonshire Growth Hub is holding the drop-in sessions in seven locations where experienced business advisers will be available to talk through how grants from £2,000 to £20,000 can support activities that lead to the development of new products, processes or services.
Businesses will be able to drop in at any point during the sessions to discuss their ideas and see if the grant funding is right for them.
The grant scheme is part of a wider package of support offered to eligible businesses under the Innovate Northamptonshire project which includes direct business advice, a variety of workshops and access to expert knowledge.
